Simplicity at it’s best and recurring dreams @ Marc Jacobs

February 17, 2010

Marc Jacob’s F/W 2010 show was an interesting one, from the very beginning. Marc and Robert Duffy appeared out of nowhere to tear the brown construction paper from a wooden frame. What was inside? 56 models, all standing in formation ready to go.

One thing to notice is how simple, yet powerful his designs are. Instead of going all out via extreme colors or textures, he kept it simple, elegant, and yet it still feels special. Also, not all of these designs are new…many are re-creations but altered for the better, over his two decades of designing. Check it out for yourself:

Did anyone notice the last model looked kind of like cher/a man? Just wondering.
